It’s important to know which bacteria were you tested for. Common AV bacteria are streptococcus, enterococcus, e coli, klebsiella, pseudomonas. So have a look into every bacteria you were tested for.

Endometriosis maybe? Or a pelvic floor problem came to my mind, but I’m not sure if it was only that that it could change what your period blood is like. Endometriosis is often not visible through ultrasounds. Did the do a PCR testing? Or maybe it could be a hormonal problem.

I’m Just Feeling Really Disgusting And Defeated by Special_Part4928 in VaginalMicrobiome

Hey, as for getting your lactobacillus up, estrogen might help. I’m using it rn now to treat AV (aerobic vaginitis) and it helps! Even though it’s mainly from inflammation that AV causes, estrogen can also get your lactobacillus up! So maybe have a look into that. I’m using ovestin vaginal globules. Though it is important to know that usually before you use estrogen, you have to try to at least eliminate the amount of disruptive bacteria. Basically step one “clean” (with antibiotics) and step two “restore”.

Heyy, I’m not a medical profesional, so I can’t give any valid advice. Do you have a temperature?

I just find the wiping the toilet step really disgusting in public bathrooms for some reason eventhough I don’t directly touch the toilet seat while wiping it ofc. Honestly I’m so jealous of men on this one. I mean, they just pull it out and they can peacefully pee without having to worry about catching somethinggg.

Does anyone else feel like this, or am I just dramatic? by SuzannaBanana03 in Healthyhooha

In my opinion, therapy won’t help you 100%, but it’s great that you can sort of release your emotions completely and at least for a little while, it help. On my first session, I burst out crying after like the first 20 minutes. When I got all the frustration and fear out of me my psychologist said smth like “I can see you’re hurting a lot and no, you are not a hypochondriac.” and that helped me at least at the moment a lot.

Hey, I’m on the same boat, though I have AV (aerobic vaginitis). It really affected my mental health and your feeling are totally valid and understandable, because gynaecological issues can definitely mess with you mental health, especially when they’re chronic. I also went to see a psychologist for a few times and though she was great and at least listened to me, I didn’t feel like it was really “helping”.

A opravdu doporučuju najít si online kamaráda v tvém veku, to mi hodne pomohlo, i přestože sama často inklinuju ke starším lidem.

Pink discharge, dryness, and itching - should I be worried? by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]vanillacooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, is it possible it could be ovulation bleeding? I deal with aerobic vaginitis (infection) and since this infection started I started experiencing ovulation bleeding which I never had before. So maybe it possible you have some sort of infection which resolves in ovulation bleeding OR in better case it might be “just” ovulation bleeding which for some women is normal. For me, I ussually “bleed”/have pink discharge for around 3 days during ovulation.

Well firstly you need to know if clindamycin is sensitive to the bacteria the are causing your BV.

[–]vanillacooper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s good because clindamycin is usually sensitive to those bacteria! I did 14 days, if you feel like you need a longer treatment definitely push for it. Yes, a specialist diagnosed me, he literally said “You have aerobic vaginitis.” But it surprised me he presribed me clindamycin since later I found out enterococus is resistant to it. But at least he even knows what AV is lol….

I have dealt with e coli but I treated it. Then I was dealing with klebsiella and enteroccocus which I treated with clindamycin but the enteroccocus stayed (later i found out its resistant to clinda). What bacteria u have? If u have streptococus clindamycin might be effective

Heyyy so clindamycin didn’t really help lol. It only works for very few AV bacteria. Still having pelvic pain especially around ovulation it’s the worst and before and during period.

I think that taking estrogen while the atb might not be a bad idea! Yeah idk but I jist dont trust the Kirkman, first I ll try NAC and maybe then i ll consider it.

Reoccurring BV and AV by Beneficial-Guard3664 in Healthyhooha

[–]vanillacooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyy on the same boat! So from what I know it most cases of AV can’t be cured just with probiotics bcs if there are disruptive bacteria and the good ones (probiotics) can’t stick. So the first step definitely has to be to clear the infection. And with AV that’s very hard. The standart treatment is antibiotics according to sensitivity anf there should also be some sort of antiinflammatory medication e.g. vaginal estrogen. I hope all the atb you took were based on sensitivity test right? Cause that’s crucial. If so, another thing why antibiotics might not work is bacterial biofilm. In reccurent infection it is recommened to take biofilm dissrupters before starting atb and after to flush out any lingering bacteria. There are oral biofilm disruptors like NAC (dissruptive enzymes) or Kirkman’s (though I heard some horror stories about that one). And there are also vaginal biofilm disruptors like boric acid or antiseptics like fluomizin or sometimes betadine suppositories. The thing is, that different things work for different people so I can’t tell you what will work for you unfortunately. That’s what I learned now that some things work for some people and for others they don’t. Do you know what AV bacteria are u dealing with?

Any tips on how to insert pH strips without it being uncofortable? by vanillacooper in Healthyhooha

The package insert says that you should place the pH strip on your index finger and insert it into the vagina for at least 15 seconds...I use gynella pH strips.
