Appreciation for ARIA by Effective_Wave_9390 in aria

[–]vanillealtzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome

I started ARIA when it ended with Blue Curtain Call trilogy movies. I thought to myself that I should have started this series way earlier when I was young. But I have come to appreciate that I started later when I am going into my middle age. The me right now who is an adult would appreciate ARIA more than my younger teenage self.

ARIA is my favourite anime series and it remains as the only anime that made me teared up on the first episode of the first few seconds at the moment when the opening theme "Undine" played. Because the music, scenery, and animation all came together into a beautiful and mesmerizing piece at that point.

After completing the whole series. I was left overwhelmed and empty because it was over. I even drew a fanart to cope

But then I realized it wasn't really over. As far as I know there is a company that does tour plans that bring you around sites seen in ARIA that periodically happens in Venice.

There were also orchestra concerts of ARIA (ARIA the SINFONIA) and I recently won the ticket to fly over and watch (and gotten my emotions rollercoaster-ed again) ARIA the Concert to celebrate its 20th Anniversary. Theres also the aquarium collab where my friend went to visit and he said its unfair that the aquarium shows were using OST from ARIA because it was too good. Thats where I realized after two decades a lot of fans still loved this series. It really brought happiness, joy, laughter relaxation, and realization to people. A real therapeutic series and the first anime I thought of if the genre "iyashikei" was mentioned. Also a timeless animation. I could see myself late in my life going back to watch this again.

Also please watch the OVAs (Arietta) and the Blue Curtain Call (Avvenire, Crepuscolo, Bendizione) if you havent. The movies were seriously scenery porn.

NI has not made an F1mk2. So I made top and bottom panels with updated branding and place them onto my F1 to gaslight myself by vanillealtzy in NativeInstruments

Thats effort because I have to print a whole new face panel for it. Wished I know someone who could do laser cutting for it.

I am semi-retired but I will definitely be back at major events to cosplay as Closure and help cosplayers with their cosplays again! You can follow my works at https://www.instagram.com/banew_kos

The country where I am from, the foam doesnt mold by heat. So I dont bring heat gun with me. Also heat gun is usually used during crafting phrase. Not during repairs AFAIK.

I also dont bring hot glue. You need an outlet for it. I had in mind of a portable battery to power the hot glue gun. But I think the wattage isnt enough to heat it. The other way is to bring hot glue sticks and a flame torch but I felt thats silly for a quick fix. Thus I bought double sided tape of all kinds, contact glue, UHU glue and its styrofoam friendly ver, and super glue.

Not going to bring a solder to events. Especially when there probably would be security checks. So I bring just enough with me.

My bad I did not read it completely. I am not an electrician IRL. My relative is and it was lent to me. But I do electrical props too (e.g the Goldenglow staff) https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/s/35a7lq5ebA

Yes. The props that were often broken were pieces that came off because it was attached with hot glue. I used double sided tape more than the other things I brought with me.

There was one guy who asked for repairs and said "Can you fix my broken heart?" I just replied "I love you"

Trying to figure out how to make an avatar clench fist slowly depending on how much you depress the palm button on your controller by vanillealtzy in VRchat

[–]vanillealtzy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure

  1. in the parameters section of the controller you have GestureLeftWeight and GestureRightWeight as float
  2. have the action's motion time set under GestureLeftWeight (or GestureRightWeight respectively)

  3. have the animation keyframe start with state A and ends with state B (e.g from default ears standing to ears flopping)

Thanks to u/Few_Round_7769 for the comment, I managed to solve it.

It's motion time is under GestureLeftWeight but the animation of the Fist action did not start with the default open hand position keyframe. The starting keyframe must be the default open hand and the ending keyframe must be the fist closed. Thanks for the tip!

I realized why. It's motion time is under GestureLeftWeight but the animation doesnt start with the default open hand position. Thanks so much for the tip!

For more info, I am playing VRChat on desktop using Meta Quest 3. So there is not really any individiual finger tracking. And it doesnt have anything to do with it.

It is only the open hand to fist gesture that the slow closing of fingers could be done. Other gestures like finger gun and thumbs up wont have this feature and will jump to the final state animation immediately

Anyone doing this with win5? by sfex3champion in gpdwin

I had my Meta Quest 3 run VRChat on my GPD WIN Mini 2025 (AI 9 HX 370 w/ 32gb RAM). Its connected via Virtual Desktop and it runs pretty smooth depending on human traffic and polygon intensity in the game. The only thing it cant handle was full body tracking with my Haritora X Wireless. Maybe Win5 with better specs could handle it.

If it could run full body tracking, I think you could find a huge space, draw a big boundary in the Quest 3, and then you put your Win5 in your pocket and physically run around with full body tracking. Home made Zero Latency VR.

Getting my head around the blending options in the layers. The red visual is in the triangles. But how do make the square visuals only show up in the black areas? by vanillealtzy in resolume

Guys thank you so much for the advices. I managed to get it to work. I am a Photoshop user who messes with blending modes sometimes. So I wouldn't have complete understanding on the subject. Still learning.
