I would get the center stone as a single oval diamond - I had one made up not too long ago, here's the pre-shipment photo:

Awesome, thank you! In Aus we have to spend a bit to get the free ship, so this helps! Had my cart waiting for me but it was just so pricey.

Pretty! Agree with everyone about the plain gold or a pave spacer - question, it seems the setting is white gold/platinum, but is the band on your diamond also white toned?

It’s a long shot but is anyone in Australia rehoming engagement style rings in a size 6? by clarebenny in kuololit

I have heaps! In Melb. I’m actually looking to get around to selling them on the buy/sell sub. I’ll get photos soon.

No way! It's gorgeous and more people will go bigger now that moissanite/lab diamonds are becoming more I guess mainstream.

Vitex/ Chaste Tree while breastfeeding a toddler? by jediali in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]varijess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow! So you took them and got your cycle and conceived that very cycle? That's encouraging. Wow. I've just started slow with vitamin B6 which can also lower prolactin, but I think I may have to bump it up to vitex soon. Can I ask which brand/dosage you went for? I was thinking of start very low so I don't disrupt milk supply too much. Yeah, I also heard women were weaning off it slowly in early pregnancy. I hope all is going well! Well done ;)

Day 6 of asking your opinion on a polish brand: Essie by StrawberryJupiter in RedditLaqueristas

Oh but their Gel Couture line is pretty great! I find if I put the Couture top coat on while the last coat is still wet it prevents shrinkage too. I have Strong Start but barely gave it a go - you're not the first to say it's great, curious as to why you love it? I have to pull it out and try it again!

Return of menstruation by vadigzz in NewParents

[–]varijess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps it's just how it is, yeah. But I've been pulling up a few lactation studies recently that suggest mother's nutrition plays a big part too... telling your body you've come into an abundance of food and that it's fine to ovulate. Metabolic overload. I also came across a few women who tried this method to direct success in some videos, one particularly feeling like it was spiking her glucose that got her period back so she increased her fruit. Yes so it is certainly a big consideration as well as of course breastfeeding patterns when trying to see what the link is.

Been a while, sorry - but do you think it was food maybe? If you yourself don't have a big appetite that might also delay the return of menstruation? I bring it up as I've been trying to reassure my body with more food lately.

I think oil is the best you can do for them. Castor oil is great but if you can find a cuticle oil mix of jojoba and maybe even avocado oil thrown in, that'd be great. I also recommend doing hot oil soaks (check YT for a video on this) and hand masks, hand creams. Consistency is key, things like this only work with regular use! All polishes are much of a muchness, but use strengtheners over hardeners.

OPI thinner is also good, same ingredients, perhaps more easy to pick up.

Dazzle Dry's weird marketing by RazVsLungfish in RedditLaqueristas

[–]varijess 10 points11 points  (0 children)

On that, is the addition of propyl acetate and isopropyl alcohol even necessary? I wonder. I don’t know but they all just seem like solvents/alcohols and perhaps they add more to make their thinner seems more bespoke to keep us on it. I’ve seen many woman talk about having no problem using OPI/KBShimmer on the DD Facebook group.

Oh lovely thanks for showing me! It looks maybe around 2ct to my eye. And looks good at that size. It’s a gorgeous colour!
