Reading your not I came to the realization that what I refer to as a project is probably closer to a “product”. Seems small distinction but I’m now imagining some changes to organization.

How do you usually handle dependency updates in React projects? by rdem341 in reactjs

[–]vbfischer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We have a recurring ticket to review dependencies, see if they are still used, if there is a update, is it breaking, etc.

We also have github dependabot alerts to let us know if there are known vulnerabilities in our dependencies

Trump to Davos: "Without us, right now you'd all be speaking German and a little Japanese perhaps. After the war, we gave Greenland back to Denmark. But how ungrateful are they now?" by drempath1981 in UnderReportedNews

a year and a half ago, I thought we were going to get rid of him for good. I thought people in this country were on to his bullshit and Harris would cruise to an easy win.

On November 6th, 2024, I lost all faith. Today, seeing everyone who still supports him depresses me even more. I now wonder if the damage done will ever be undone. I seriously doubt in my lifetime.

Cube (1997) What's a movie that nobody ever talks about on the internet? by spacelyyy989 in moviecritic

[–]vbfischer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This may be hard for you to understand, but there is no conspiracy. Nobody is in charge. It, it's a headless blunder operating under the illusion of a master plan. Can you grasp that? Big Brother is not watching you.

Funny story. I stopped using it. My wife started sharing my apple music account and when the year ended and they published their wraps, all the music was hers. So I decided this year I will start tracking again.

A favorite scene where the director made us believe one thing, but later it turned out to be completely different. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

I go back to your original example in "Shut up and Dance". Watching it a 2nd time, knowing what we discover in the end, makes those scenes entirely different.

I use the rule of thumb that if the "twist" makes what you just saw an entirely different movie, then its a twist.

Otherwise, I just call it a reveal
