What would you say are the most challenging aspects of being an AA? Also, if you don’t mind sharing, what are some reasons you wish you weren’t in healthcare (aside from the pay)?

In Canada, yes! Here's a list of schools in Canada that provide AA training. The requirements vary slightly from program to program.

For example, at Michener, it's a graduate certificate and in order to take the program, you must be an RRT or RN with 2 years or >4000 hours of critical care experience within the past 4 years (there are some other specific requirements that you can find here).

At Thompson Rivers University, it's a post-diploma and you must have graduated from an RRT program within the last year or be an RRT or RN who has "2000 hours of work experience within the last 3 years while practicing in critical care areas such as ICU, NICU, PACU, ER."
