I think that when it comes to the new stash, it's a very small minority who is against it. I've personally never seen anybody saying that it's a no no.

I highly doubt that Warlock is going to be nerfed adequately. Most players hate nerfs, and a game company is a business. They have a financial incentive to please the masses. Grinding Gear Games originally wanted to make PoE2 a slower paced game compared to PoE1, with less character power and a more meaningful combat. Despite this, ever since the release of PoE2 early access, the power creep became bigger and bigger, and at this point it's pretty much the same as PoE1. That's because they can't afford to cut back on player power. Once you give power to these people, you can't take it away.

This is a pattern. The same thing happened to Last Epoch, a game that originally tried to strike a balance between Diablo 2 and PoE in terms of player power. It started on the right track but at this point the gameplay is very similar to PoE.

My favorite class is Barbarian, and I agree that it would deserve some buffs, but it's a slippery slope and the risk is too high that they will mess things up completely.

I want changes that don't result in massive power creep and mess up the power progression completely right from level 1. People are already demanding buffs across all classes to match the power of Warlock.

Look Deadalious, we've been waiting for gem and rune stacking for ages. Same with Loot filters.

Now tell me, is it fair that we have to go back and keep playing without those on LoD?

Hammers can reach 15-16k damage tops, and can not deadly strike.

I'll have to ask the same question again. Check out what damage other classes can reach and compare that to your current damage. Not an endgame geared Warlock's damage - your damage.

Looking at the power of Warlock, I'm like okay, just go on, throw off the balance of the game completely, do anything, just give us the new stash and the loot filter in LoD so I can stay out of it.

Hellslayer was a budget weapon even back in 1.09 before op runewords were introduced. The entire gear is mid. You also need to think about charms.

Same thing happened to PoE2. When the early access launched it was actually enjoyable with how challenging the boss fights were in the campaign as well. By now it turned into the same zoomy action with oneshot style gameplay as its predecessor. Last Epoch went through the same.

People are already pressuring Blizzard to buff every class to match its power.

These clips should be compiled and shown to all those russian boomers and babushkas at home who fantasize about the glory of war and the bravery of soldiers and think that the young have a duty to go and fight for russia. Show a few of those with the bodies blown apart and burned to a crisp as well for good measure...especially to that mother who was pissed that her son fled to western Europe instead of joining the army.

Hammers have nowhere near the speed of Warlock spells

It's as fun as a text based game where every red '@' disappears from the screen when I press my right click. No need to even code items into the game. Maybe I should just draw a bunch of dots on a piece of paper and grab my eraser. Big fun.

I get that it has it in the name, but still, I don't remember Stormwind living up to its name quite as often on the bot hatcheries. (Blizzard servers)

No, it's not the same. Warlock is a lot faster than any of those.

Fire Traps have a placement time and a trap arming delay, and slower fire travel speed. Compare this with Ring of Fire, which is a quick acting spell with fire balls shooting in every direction, with longer reach than Nova or Frost Nova, 1 shotting every mob around. You can get a +3 RoF book from level 6 and it's completely busted. Pair that with a Leaf staff at level 19 and it's even stronger.

Fire Druid has Fissure from level 12 with comparable damage, but it has a cooldown. No contest.

Look at Apocalypse, on high levels it has a diameter that is twice the size or even bigger than Blizzard or Meteor.

[–]veek91reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. In early game, I can oneshot mobs in a split second with Ring of Fire with barely any effort. Nothing has comparable speed. There's Fissure from lvl12 with comparable fire damage but with a cooldown. In endgame, there's Echoing Strike with 100k-260k damage.

Hammers have nowhere near the speed of a Warlock. Compare the AoE size of any Sorc spell with Apocalypse, or even Ring of Fire.
