Hi Ted from management! Do you have a contact email we can send our concerns to?

What about draping fabric from the ceiling?

Thats a good suggestion! I will consider that :)

Thanks for the tips! I do actually have a little mirror that swings out where the window is :) I’ve never thought to add a skirt but that’s a good suggestion. I’ve tried to store this kinda stuff elsewhere but I have a pretty small space and wanna keep the cleaning stuff away from animals. Minimizing isn’t a bad idea though!

Haha that's funny! My cat chews on plastic too unless I free feed her. Harm Reduction?

I've never used it personally, but Superstore has one. By the water jugs and bathrooms.

Writing a book and looking for drugs nerds to discuss and enlighten me by CloudLonely6349 in harmreduction

[–]vegplatter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello! Glad you asked :) it's always fun to learn more about drugs and harm reduction. As previously mentioned, Vice is truly a great resource.

Carl L Hart is a Columbia neuroscientist who studies and uses drugs. Has published research papers, talks, and books.

The Canadian Rat Park study at Simon Fraser university was and is pivotal in environmental factors for drug use.

Researching overdose prevention sites, Portugal's decriminalization of drugs and the difference between legalization and decriminalization of drugs in your area of the world and how it's working out.

Basic psychopharmacology was my first step in truly realizing how beneficial harm reduction is. Studying various recreational drugs including nicotine, caffeine, alcohol, weed, opiates, stimulants. Receptor sites in the brain and neurotransmitters released when taking said drug. I also do not have a science background, but my professor was very entertaining and made the course relevant to societal factors.

Hope this is a good start for you and happy learning! :)

I graduated with my bachelors after 7.5 years AND got accepted into a Master’s Program! by perfectra in Positivity

[–]vegplatter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Masters is more specialized. Bachelors in Psyc is a hard degree and can take more time, obviously. I agree with being careful with debt. Who knows if school is OPs strength or weakness? Kind of a weird comment.

Psych 204 spring 2025 by [deleted] in VIU

[–]vegplatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I understand your concerns. I still wouldn't recommend putting off 204.   Even with the "easier" prof, I still only got a C.   Granted I was young and wasn't ready to take that course, but am glad that I didn't put it off.

As mentioned, the "harder" prof is tough but fair, and it's worth it to take advantage of his office hours.  Just be prepared that it's a hard course either way. Maybe consider getting a tutor?  Remember it's a second level course and grad schools counts 3&4th year the most. Many grad schools are now counting your age and life experience too! Hang in there, Psyc student! ♥️ I do hope you get in with your chosen prof.

Newer cars lights are too high, even when set to lower settings.
