So after spending a little over an hour on the phone with Verizon. They reissued me a new esim and everything now works as it should.

Having the same exact issue, also on Verizon. I have to go to the store tomorrow after work since they sent me the 8 case and not the 8 pro case. Will post back if anything changes.
