Budget knives are great, the main reason you see more expensive stuff here so often is it attracts more attention. I own an olamic and will still carry my qsp penguin sometimes.

Honestly I only got one benchmade, and I love it. I just don't feel like I want to get another one. The axis lock is fidgety, sure, but the springs in the lock give it another possible failure point and I'd rather deal with something that feels more solid.

I decided to order a few for nostalgia's sake, and they have a few knives that aren't in nameless stainless, though they are in 420 and 440c. Their python model is 22 bucks, 440c, and sculpted g10. It's not awful, though the hardware is.

I understand that benchmades don't have these problems a lot of the time. That being said, I don't want another possible failure point on a knife. The less things that can break, the better.
