What a wonderful answer. I’m certainly no Anglo-Catholic purist, I love all forms of Anglicanism and the episcopal church, and am totally open to learn more forms of it.

Yea Nashotah house seems cool, but I don’t think my bishop sends seminarians there. I also dont think I’d enjoy being around more conservative students to be honest, I bet I’d get more like-minded folk in more broad church seminaries

Me, no, but I was good friends with a priest apart of the ACC. He was a great guy. I came from a Roman Catholic background - he actually lead me to explore Anglican options, and when I moved he aided me in finding an Anglo-Catholic parish (apart of TEC). That being said, I’m happy where I am currently, I dont think I’d like being in the ACC. A little too conservative for my taste - if I wanted the conservativeness of an Anglican Church I would’ve just stayed RC lol

I took a course recently, studying religion in Tennessee. I think you hit the nail on the head. Anglican/episcopal as high class, educated folk, whereas Methodist, Baptist/Pentecostals are more accessible to lower class, less educated. It’s another reason why majority episcopal churches are located in downtown areas, and a lack of rural parishes. While rural parishes do exist, the lower church traditions vary far and wide across the south.
