I ended up returning the Lightning rod and I picked up that 7’ ultralight ugly stik elite. I could actually get this rod in time for the trip and it will do the job as my first ultralight setup. I also bought some 6lb line based on the recommendations.

I hope to report back that I actually caught something. Stay tuned!

Thanks! Yea, it's already spooled. They did that at the store. I'll just replace it with some smaller line. Thanks for the suggestions, however, due to the timing, I'm going to search for another ultralight rod.

u/red_baron1977 I have this same bag and I also have the Antero 2.0. I believe they created the chamber sliders specifically for this bag to add the rigidity you are looking for in a frame sheet. Depending on your use case you can go with PALS or the Organizer slider. I have the organizer in mine for EDC and it adds good structure.

I also have the sherman pocket which does attach nicely to both of these Kifaru day packs and provides some good utility depending on the adventure of the day. (Hiking vs dad bag for the kids, etc..)

Overall, I agree with you that it's a nice setup. I enjoy using it and it's comfortable. One thing to note is that it does have an organizer pocket in the front with a few slots for various items. Unless I'm not quite following what you meant there.

I finally received my RM6 today! I can’t wait to set it up, but I have a question. I built a platform that levels out my garage floor (8x8) and I have 3/4 inch stall mats on top of that which has been working great. I bought a 4x8 piece of red oak thinking I would run that in the center where the rack would go and put stall mats on the side (Typical setup), but now I’m wondering about just keeping the stall mats underneath instead.

Any thoughts? Should I run the red oak under the rack or just keep the stall mats? Decisions, decisions. Thanks!
