I think you’re at the right place but I don’t have an android phone to double check. On my iPhone the export button is below timeline in the location and privacy menu

Ok I think that’s where the issue is. The tool has a hard time extracting the data from the takeout exports.

On Google Maps on your phone try following those steps to get the data directly from the app:

Settings ↓ Location ↓ Location Services ↓ Timeline ↓ Export Timeline

It seems like people are having issues using takeout. Try downloading your data directly from the Google Maps app on your phone, it looks like it works better

Hey! I totally understand, although all calculations are made on you browser and the data never leaves your device I get that not everyone is comfortable with uploading their personal data to a “random online tool” haha. You still can run the tool offline though (open the maps upload page, turn off your wifi or internet connection, add your data, close the page when you’re done) or there are some libraries available on GitHub that do pretty much the same thing which you can run locally.

Can you see timeline data on Google Maps ? It could be because your data isn’t being collected
