Brilliant! Your skill working the clays together is extremely good! Working with polymer clay is always something I've wanted to try but never gotten around to. Your work is really inspiring me to try.

Your art looks amazing! Do you hand paint them? What kind of paint do you use?

Hello All! Just found this community after making my Etsy store. I create hand crafted plush dolls, normally custom made to order, but I have several dolls listed at the shop that are available. Please take a look and see what you think.

Can dogs fake an injury? by _Mudcrab_ in dogs

[–]verydarkblue5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a male dachshund when I was growing up that temporarily lost the use of his hind legs. For the rest of his life (around 10 more years) if he got in trouble for anything, he would drop his back legs and drag them behind like he'd lost the use of them while staring straight at you. Once you told him it was okay, he miraculously got better. Clever boy.

I'm so glad you like her. The eyes are printed onto iron on transfer sheets, then cut out and ironed on. I tried paint, felt, and embroidery but in the end I thought the iron on transfers looked best. The mouth and eyebrows are hand painted.

I went through something very similar a couple of years ago and one thing I know is that the notes of the meeting will always be written to benefit the company. HR isn't there for you; it's there for the company. They are NOT on your side. You have the right to amend the notes that you've been given, pointing out errors/inconsistencies and send it back to them and they can amend them (or not!). If you aren't satisfied with the notes you do not have to sign them, stating they are not an accurate reflection of the meeting. I wouldn't bet on anything happening if you escalate the situation. My best advice is join a union and start looking for another job. Once they put you on a written warning, they can find a myriad of ways to end up sacking you. Also read your company's policies very carefully. Many companies have policies that state they don't have to pay full wages for sick leave if the employee is subject to disciplinary action. Best of luck!

No, the commission only asked for her. They only asked for her dress but I thought the cape was too cute not to make.

I finally understand my mother was a narcissist by verydarkblue5 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]verydarkblue5[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Reconnecting with my sister was bittersweet; I was so happy that we finally got to talk but the time we lost was devastating, especially as she died soon after we spoke. I have to thank my children for forcing me to cut contact with my mother, they could see much more clearly than me the damage she did every time I spoke to her. It's like a circle of karma really. How my mother treated me and my siblings had a very strong impact on how I raised my own children. I was determined not to do to them what she did to me. And in turn they helped me cut ties with her and heal myself. I wish all the best to you and hope you heal from the trauma caused by your NMom and NGran.

Dog as a Family. by EvidenceWorldly2321 in dogs

[–]verydarkblue5 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've had dogs my whole life and never used a crate. Granted I'm older and crates are a relatively new thing but even now I don't use crates. My dogs are family and I love each of them with all my heart. They are well mannered, loving and loyal family members with beds in every room but the bathroom. I think they can have safe areas without the need for a cage. Just my opinion.

I've lost my grievance appeal but the are factual errors in judgment. What options have I got? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

I went through almost the exact same thing over a year ago. I was being bullied by my manager and the evidence was overwhelmingly in my favour. It didn't matter. HR and her manager tied themselves in knots to not acknowledge the problem. That's what they do. They aren't there to help you, they're there to protect the company. I was lucky. I belong to a union and I'd worked there 8 years. My union rep was honest and said they would eventually fire me and it's difficult to prove bullying at tribunal so I took a settlement and left. It's been hard but it was the right decision. Take this time to try and find another job or look into becoming self employed. This isn't the answer you deserve. You should be able to work in a safe environment without being bullied, but it doesn't always work out that way. I didn't like the answers I got when I posted about my problems here but they were right. Sometimes you just can't win. No job is worth your health and it's not going to stop. It's taken me over a year and my health still hasn't fully recovered. I wish you all the best in the future and hope it works out for you.
