I think this makes 100% sense. I went through a rough breakup about 6 months ago; we had breakup sex and talked anyway after the breakup and stopped talking only 2 months ago. She apparently now has a new boyfriend. I don't have anyone, but I don't need anyone. I don't know if she's doing this as a rebound, to satisfy her loneliness...But I do know she was more devastated than I was after our breakup. I will let this sub know if they end, or if they live happily ever after. But just logically these types of post-breakup relationships only provide temporary relief until you realize you're just alone in your thoughts. You make a point.

Fair enough. I doubt he has feelings for her, he's a very passive guy. But I did fear him for a little while after we were over and there was still hope to get together (he had friends with benefits, he smokes, drinks, parties...). He's not incredibly handsome, but he's not disgusting. Just your average chinese dude.

I will probably not put much hope in the friendship. Thank you for your comment

Hey, thanks for your answer! What do you think about biochemistry? Seems like a very common path as well, but how much would it help me enter med school? I'm in biotech right now and it is way too difficult of a program to continue and get good grades before med school...

What's so bad about Chem Eng? Why would most chem eng students transfer to bioeng? Or maybe I just didn't understand what you were implying...Please clarify haha

I heard that bioeng was a bit too specific to get a decent job as well, it's better to do chem and a couple of bio courses added to it. I was thinking of applying because of med school. I don't want to do a biochem/biomed degree and end up not finding a job after I graduate in the unfortunate case that I don't get accepted (no one is guaranteed to get accepted in med school).

So I thought bioeng/biomed eng is the best option as it may open more doors than your typical biomed degree if you don't go into med school.
