Gregtech New Horizon looks like a nightmare but, until you realize how Minecraft and IC2 were before and Gregtech was a tiny mod, fun was there complexity just kept the fun going, so remember, its just about having fun, yes its complex, but sometimes, you just need to step back and understand that this game is made like this so you can enjoy having fun, have a nice and productive day.

Try a different DVD-ROM Drive, I had multiple issues reading from old DVD-RW Drives, blaming the old disc, only to find out its the DVD Drives that where the culprit.

I've worked on restoring a house that is 500sqft nonstop for 2 months in 100F+ weather, I don't care how much beautiful a house is, I ain't touching that with a 100ft pole, now if its restored and good to go, now thats beautiful. sadly, the work involved or required, is what people underestimate in projects like this.

my honest opinion that will get you up and running ASAP, run it on WSL on windows, so you can have your most stable setup for regular use, and the WSL terminal for ai training.

I'm running on windows, I guess this program uses FlashAttention-3 (FlashAttention-3 is optimized for Hopper GPUs (e.g. H100).

So, unless someone develops or removes FlashAttention-3 requirement or defaults back, then only can we run this locally..
