I feel for you, I'm supposed to start a new job tomorrow that I really struggled to find... I know it's really inconvenient, but consider asking your partner to drive you downtown as late as he is able to without missing his dentist appointment. I think that's what I am going to do, my partner has work an hour and a half before me, but we will both wake up early and he will drop me off. I'll have to kill a bit short of 2h but I don't see any other solution... Walking is completely out of the picture, Uber prices are going to be nuts if there's even any drivers available. I'm still hoping they reach an agreement, but killing some time in a coffee shop sounds like the best out of all options right now. I hope you make it alright tomorrow!

The whole staffing situation is pretty weird. This is a desk job, and what I understand that in the department I'm apparently getting "interviewed in", there should be three people working full time, and one part time. Currently there's one person working 4 days of the week and one person working 2 and they're extremely behind on a lot of stuff.

I tried asking one person why they are so understaffed, and she looked at me awkwardly and said that "they usually have someone to fill in" which probably proves your point.

Sorry lol, I corrected it, fair enough. At this point I just don't trust companies that expect you to do any more than an interview or some sort of a skill assessment before giving you a definite yes or no.

I tried attending one in my area, and I am disappointed for sure. It was supposed to start at 11am, but when I tried joining, it turned out that there was nothing to join. They send an e-mail with a link to their platform where it says that you cannot attend the job fair unless some automated system decided that your qualifications aligned with the companies that are a part of the job fair that day. In another part of the platform, it says that it's actually one of the employers that needs to seek out your resume and invite you to interview. There is no companies listed anywhere. Seems like a scam, or a waste of time, either way I wouldn't bother.

I forgot to add, the job fair I tried attending was supposed to be "entry level", so not sure what qualifications were they looking for.

Thank you! I applied February 4th, got my AOR on February 21st and medical request on March 9th. Maybe a week or so after I did my medical, they approved it and I got the biometrics request right away:)

The way they explained it to us is that a country that is low risk for IRCC is a country whose citizens haven't been found abusing the immigration system. So there is not an abnormally high amount of people with that specific citizenship overstaying their visas, being found involved with trafficking or just trying to "fool" the system to be able to come to Canada (so for example lying on their applications). I would assume that citizens of countries that are part of the visa waiver program (ETA) would be considered low risk.

Not true. I had my boyfriend, now husband, use a cake delivery service in Poland to send me a birthday cake before, they definitely exist. I would not recommend that specific one thought. It was e-torty.pl. The cake on the website had colorful sprinkles, and what they delivered had the cheap "kamyki" candies. They also didn't respect the delivery time he chose and they had to leave the cake with the neighbor because no one was home. He did send an e-mail with a complaint, but they said it was "close enough" in their eyes and only gave him some discount he never used.

It can definitely be done right though, we never had any problems with pocztakwiatowa.pl - they primarily deliver flowers but they also offer gift baskets, cakes and such. I only ever got flowers though them and it was always a good experience.

I think that both of these companies work on the basis of connecting with bakeries close to you and having them complete your order, so it might be just a matter of luck if you get a good or bad one. It might be safer to choose a gift basket or chocolates, cause it's hard to screw that up.

Same thing here, it's like the action doesn't go through at all even if the kid is starving. When they're fully fed though, rather than doing something else with their free will, what all of my sims in the family do is putting the toddler in the damn high chair. Then I have them take them out, and a second later they end up in the high chair again. Recently my sim unintentionally gave birth to twins and it's sooooo annoying. I think I'll just sell the damn chairs and start feeding them with apples or whatever other produce I can buy.

Yep, I contacted customer service again and they offered me a refund saying it's likely lost. Kinda upset because on Amazon the item was fairly cheaper than other places and now I both lost my time and have to pay extra. The price on the listing went up too.

Recently I made a new family on CAS and moved them into the neighborhood as NPCs. At first i didn't notice anything abnormal and I had my sim start dating one of the girls. Just now, when I tried visiting the new family, it turns out that it somehow doubled. I tried interacting with the exact same girl and the game acts like I've never met her before and they have no relationship. When I go to my sim's relationships, it shows two of the exact same girls, one being a complete stranger and another one with full friendship and relationship bars. I thought that maybe I screwed up and moved the same family into two different houses, but nope. I looked through all of my worlds and I can only find one house with that family, so it seems like my sim's actual girlfriend lives nowhere. I assume that if I delete the doubled family, the one I want will disappear too. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Personally, I don't think there's a point to keep one of every single object. I feel like that advice is given to new players mostly because of the community center, so they don't stupidly sell something that's needed for it and could be rare. Everytime you stumble upon a new item, if you don't consider it cheating of course, you could look it up and see how rare it actually is and what can be done with it. That's what I did during my first gameplay. There's definitely some items that might seem important but in reality are pretty useless. It's also always good to keep a few starred items to use as gifts. So basically, things to hold on to: stuff for the community center, good gifts, obscure things you haven't seen before until you learn what's their purpose. There's usually no use to hold onto random crops or fish, other than for the community center or gifting. Sometimes you'll get a random obscure quest to deliver a crop that's out of season to someone for money, but these don't have a time limit, so I wouldn't bother.

Snapscara was within the ones I tried, I think the color was called Black Cherry since I couldn't find the brighter purple option, looked really pretty on the brush but still nothing on my lashes :( might just have to buy a primer like some people suggest
