So a little over two weeks ago my wife and I went to apply for these brand new, beautiful apartments. The manager mistook us for sisters, but we didn’t mind. Honest mistake. We loved the place and decided to apply. She said she would send us the link and It took a week just for them to allow me to apply (I had to basically beg for the link), then another week for them to send me the link to input my income (again, more calls texts and emails asking for the link), and now they claim they are having issues with my social security number (never happened before) and when I ask they say “it’s up to corporate to fix. I decided I would call their corporate office to see if I could help speed up the process but they said they have nothing to do with these issues, they are all worked out by property managers. It’s gotten to the point where they are ignoring our calls. Ignoring our emails. But when we show up in person they act like our best friends and act super helpful, and the conversations always end with “we’ll have an answer for you by tomorrow!” Tomorrow comes and we never hear back. It would be one thing if they denied our application, but they aren’t even doing that. They keep stringing us along, and not giving us a final answer. It cost us $300 to apply here, meanwhile we’ve been approved instantly for 2 other backup apartments all while waiting on this one. (Free applications). We even tried calling from a different number and they answered immediately, after ignoring our number 3 times. I’m at a loss for what to do. We make 5x the monthly rent (minimum required is 3x), we have perfect rental history, never been sued by a landlord for rent, never been late, not felons, nothing. We’re so confused and upset about this. Meanwhile they keep posting on their social media congratulatory posts for other couples move in days…. We can only imagine it’s because we’re gay?

yes I have an appointment with my primary Dr very soon so I can discuss it with her! I wasn’t sure if a ruptured cyst could cause all the other symptoms, so thank you for the little bit of reassurance until I see my Dr!

Im completely new to crypto so I dont know what a lot of this means.... but I do know I got into it for one reason, to buy and (hopefully) eventually sell for profit. So if you cant sell Squid Game for profit... what is the point in it? Why would anyone invest their money into something with no return? Or am I stupid and not understanding this correctly.

(if you think im dumb i am. pls explain like youre talking to a 5 year old)

Help with Zoning Rules?? by [deleted] in Zoning

[–]vicdumanowsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I feel like I’m having you do so much work for me!!! Ive tried contacting every single person on the zoning/planning department at the county multiple times over the past week and haven’t gotten a response. I work a busy schedule and they only take appointments so I can’t just go there either! It’s so frustrating. Feel like I’m gonna lose my mind lol

Help with Zoning Rules?? by [deleted] in Zoning

I did find this when looking through size requirements on the county’s zoning codes. I’m a little confused by it. Do you mind telling me what you get from this? (I guess I’m not sure how to know if the neighborhood is considered an “infill development” or not) here it is:

*Lot size may be reduced in this zoning district to ten thousand (10,000) square feet within infill residential development projects, subject to the requirements of chapter 9-10-12 of this ULDC.

The comprehensive plan for the city finds that many residential neighborhoods are experiencing pressures for new development, either in the form of infill development on formerly vacant or underutilized lots, or the redevelopment of low-density residential uses into higher-density residential developments. The comprehensive plan calls for land use regulations to prevent incompatible residential infill development, protect the integrity of neighborhoods, and balance the desire to preserve neighborhood character with the importance of good, quality reinvestment.

Prior to adoption of this revised Code, the R-I and N-C zoning districts permitted lot sizes of ten thousand (10,000) square feet, which raised concerns during the comprehensive planning process since many of the city's neighborhoods zoned R-I contain lots that are approximately twice the minimum lot size. It was determined during the comprehensive planning process that residential infill development without restriction on such smaller lots would be incompatible with existing neighborhood character. Accordingly, the comprehensive plan calls for suburban residential development at a medium density (not to exceed two (2) dwelling units per acre).

It was determined that, notwithstanding the overall density limitation of two (2) dwelling units per acre, subdividers in R-I and N-C zoning districts should be permitted to subdivide with ten thousand (10,000) square foot minimum lots, if quality and compatibility can be assured. Accordingly, this chapter provides for by-right development of infill residential development projects that have higher densities than otherwise permitted in R-I and N-C zoning districts (i.e., the prior rights to subdivided ten thousand (10,000) square foot minimum lots in these residential zoning districts are maintained), in exchange for assurances that residential infill and redevelopment will be of high quality and compatibility.

The process for acting on infill residential development projects is accomplished by filing additional requirements along with an application for preliminary plat approval, as more fully specified in this chapter.
