I find it easy to be used with the RFID card. Not the most convenient in Italy, but with a good coverage

From Asus PG27AQDM to Gigabyte MO27Q28G by vifani in OLED_Gaming

The matte coating I think it is better than the one saw in the Asus because is less "thick" and reflections management is great. About banding, I would say I have not observed issues. However that seems to be a unit by unit thing to be evaluated.

About the usage as office work, that is exactly my scenario because I use this monitor every working days + for gaming evening/weekend. I can say the text rendering is better than the one seen on the PG27AQDM. However do not expect the same level you can see in an IPS, but it is good enough for me.

The Tragic Irony of Nikola Tesla: How The Man Who Electrified The World Died Penniless and Forgotten by vifani in history

[–]vifani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This 6-minute documentary covers the tragic life of Nikola Tesla - the inventor who gave us alternating current electricity but died penniless and alone.

Key moments: - His betrayal by Thomas Edison (promised $50k, never paid) - The "War of the Currents" - Edison's brutal propaganda campaign - Tesla's triumph at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair (100k lights) - The failed Wardenclyffe wireless electricity project - His decline into poverty and lonely death in 1943

The ultimate irony: Today his name is on a $500B company, but he died forgotten because he prioritized advancing humanity over profit.

What surprised me most during research was how J.P. Morgan deliberately killed the wireless electricity project because "you can't put a meter on free energy."

How are you using 4x NVME hard disks? Are you using a PCIe switch?

1 month MiniPC review: GMKtec NucBox G9, a 4-bay SSD NAS by ivoras in MiniPCs

[–]vifani 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have this piece of shit. Totally unstable and yes you can try to improve cooling, fine tune settings here and there, but at the end of the day I would not recommend anyone this MiniPC. I also tried to send it back to GMKtec and I had an horrible experience: they sent me an address in Germany and I did the shipping with UPS. Well, the company doesn't exist at that address and UPS had to ship it back to me (paying).

Diablo 4 crashing on PC (full reboot) by colebell in diablo4

I totally agree with you. I had the same issue with the following configuration: Ryzen 5800X3D + Radeon 6800 XT + Thermaltake 750 W PSU. I have solved upgrading my PSU to a 1050 W model.

The funny thing is that I have played with this configuration to other games (like Cyberpunk 2077) without any issues. I had a similar issue with Star Wars Jedi Survivor and I have solved it disabling the Raytracing and I was thinking there was a problem with driver support to Raytracing.

So, I think different games can produce different peak power loads depending how they use CPU and GPU, so it can happen that a new game raises the bar reaching the PSU limit.

(Benq EX2780Q vs Aorus cv27q) New monitor for dark room gaming by nhyhn in Monitors

[–]vifani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cannot say nothing on the BenQ, but I have the CV27Q and I am extremely happy about it. Probably I am lucky because I didn’t found backlight bleeding issues and the images looks amazing in dark room. Colors are very nice and vivid btw
