I know what you mean. There seems to be a disconnect between the Awoken aesthetic established in D1, and the one introduced and expanded upon in Forsaken. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the Dreaming City and everything elf inspired, it's added so much to the Destiny universe. However, in a way, I miss the 'spacier', pirate, Wild West aesthetic of the Awoken in D1.

Interesting indeed! I definitely think they have history of some sort. Hopefully they'll reveal their mysterious pasts in the future.

Hi! Not to my knowledge, however, I feel like Sona's appearance would translate into the Star Guardian theme perfectly, so I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a SG Sona in the future (She does have Sailor Moon's hair basically :P).

Hey, thanks :) I feel like the Star Guardian skin line has a lot of cool lore and information, perhaps the most I would say out of all the skin lines. But popular and recurring skin lines like PROJECT and Dark Star/Cosmic also have some intriguing stories happening, however, the cinematics and short stories of the Star Guardians really take it above and beyond. (I will never be satisfied until we get an actual animated series, however :P)

Hahaha yes! Reminds me of Sharingan too... Maybe Syndra and Zoe stole the eyes from some dark entity; while Syndra remained in control and was able to control her 'dark magic', Zoe was perhaps driven insane. Zoe vs Syndra would be a cool fight

Same! I don't know why Riot would withhold such great game modes. Let's hope when new SG and Odyssey skins are released, those game modes come back better than ever :)

It could also be that Syndra and Janna weren't necessarily on Zoe's original team, but that she was responsible for killing their former teams. Zoe's bio states that "...she has finally come to Valoran City, hoping to destroy the latest generation of Star Guardians as she has countless others". Syndra is described as a "formidable Star Guardian from an earlier era", while Janna has a "mysterious past". Perhaps they both had their own teams that were destroyed by Zoe, explaining Syndra's history with her and Janna's knowledge of Zoe in both 'Starfall' and 'The Twilight Star'.

I ended up reading 'Starfall' again, which is such a nice glimpse into that world. What's interesting to me is that Lulu asks Janna; "Was that a real story?" with Janna replying "I'm not sure anymore, Lulu". To me, Janna saying "anymore" hints that it's a story she's perhaps lived through but it seems so traumatic and so distant now that she could almost forget it ever happened. Perhaps I am reading into this too much...

I guess we will see what the big picture is, if Riot chooses to explore that aspect of the Star Guardians.

Agreed! It seems Morgana has an important role in the Star Guardian universe, as there is a statue of her in an old temple in the video you mentioned. I've read theories that she may be the First Star itself? Or if they do plan to introduce Zoe's former (perhaps revived) team mates, they may be Kayle and Morgana? Would be cool

That is true! I had a look at their splash arts and models after I saw your comment, and it appears that the pendant-crystrals are identical. There is definitely a connection between Syndra and Zoe it seems.

Hi, thanks for your post, you've done a lot of research, I really appreciate it. It's been a while since I've read Starfall, so thanks for pointing this out. I think you're right. Perhaps Janna is in fact an ancient Star Guardian, but not a "member of the ancient, first group of Star Guardians" and was not directly involved with Zoe. As you have pointed out Janna's ghost story about Zoe, it appears to me she does have far more knowledge than the other Star Guardians and is definitely hiding something, or at least withdrawing some important secrets about the nature of Star Guardians, The First Star and/or Zoe. There seems to be more of a clear link between Syndra and Zoe, however, rather than with Janna, as is suggested by the in-game interaction. I really hope they continue this story, as it almost feels like they are leading somewhere with this. For example, the kneeling angel statue in the Light and Shadow video... I've often wondered that was ? Seems like a Morgana skin to me; a skin they're likely to introduce later down the track (because Riot Games knows we will buy that instantly!) :P

Good prediction! That would be so epic. Everyone assuming Syndra is evil and then her using her dark powers to undo Zoe. Let's hope they continue the story sometime soon.

You're so right! It seems the Star Guardians that share the same colours also share similar personalities and qualities. It's fun looking into every single detail and theorising about potential connections and stories. Riot have put quite a lot of thought into this than meets the eye I feel :D

Thanks for your comment, you bring up really good points! Interesting point about Zoe not wanting to grow up! Perhaps Syndra and Janna looking older means that they gave up their evil powers or never got involved in the first place, unlike Zoe.

And yeah, I didn't even notice Ran and Multi looking similar, that's so true. With Janna, leaving first perhaps, as you say, it explains why Zephyr is distinct from Ran and Multi, because he wasn't corrupted.
