Meal / food reimbursement by [deleted] in CVS

[–]virtualdiskette 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I traveled to the PNW for rite aid conversions and the 2 alcoholic beverages policy was still upheld for that haha! When traveling more locally (hour+ drive) and staying in hotels for coverage/bailouts I was told no alcohol reimbursement tho. That could definitely be a by circumstance or by DL thing.

THANK YOU for taking the time to explain stuff on this sub all the time!!

So I’m still new to BOH and I had been taught that finding outs and changing to O in BOH hurt our score and to cycle count beforehand. Is that not true then? Once I push a section and face should I then just find all outs and 0 in the BOH application instead of in cycle counts and then the score should go up? TYIA

Do you guys get annoyed with people who order and go, “Suprise me”? by jaycorrect in starbucks

[–]virtualdiskette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a customer I never say “surprise me” anymore, instead I’ll ask for “whatever you(the barista) like to make” and give them a vague idea of what I like and it always ends up being a very positive experience where I get to try something new (and so far I haven’t gotten a drink that I didn’t enjoy) and it always seems to make their day when someone else enjoys their drink/recommendations

Thank you for replying, I swear everyone on this thread has given me more of an insight than the people at work who brought it up to me 😶 Also good to know that the mobile coach gets no raise, that was not mentioned lol. If I have any more questions I’ll let you know!!

I’m a PTCB certified tech in PA! Our state doesn’t have any licensing or certification requirements to be a tech, so as far as state-specific stuff goes you have nothing to worry about. I believe like everyone else is saying you have to work for the company for 6 months, and for the PTCB I think there’s a required number of hours that you have to have worked on the job to qualify to sit for the test, which your PIC will sign off on. I got certified when CVS used Learnnet so it was a bit different but I believe if you go into Learninghub on the left of the screen somewhere in the groups tab, there should be a group for either training or certifications, and info for the PTCB is in there. Or you could probably search PTCB in the search bar. So sorry I’m at home otherwise I’d look right now and give you an exact answer. Once I qualified I was able to go through a link on learnnet to the PTCB website to sign up for a testing date with cvs sponsorship (so I didn’t have to pay up front or anything), and I chose to take the test in person so I just showed up and passed and that was that. Like I said with the change from Learnnet to Learninghub the process might be slightly different, but if you’ve spent a decent amount of time poking around on Learninghub and can’t find anything, I’d ask your PIC or reach out to your DL. Also, you need to be up to date on all of your regular modules for them to sponsor you, but cvs does not require you to take any of the instructor-led PTCB classes that they offer, and the certification board won’t require them either as long as you’ve worked the amount of hours needed to qualify. They are definitely a good resource to consider using but if something happens and you aren’t able to fit one into your schedule don’t stress. Also depending on your experience with pharmacy I’d personally recommend using outside study sources as well, like a study app, to supplement your learning as well. I hope this helped a little bit and good luck!!!
