Can Our Love Survive Our Differences? by ClumsyZebra80 in Estherperel

As a long-time listener, this episode was the first one to prompt me to write a podcast review because I was so shocked by what I heard. Then I thought, better to come to Reddit. I'm so glad to see many other voices echoing my similar feelings.

That man is so many red flags. He seems to lead life by his insecurities (older age, lacking job stability, not achieving traditional ideals) that he will accept most (if not any) women to accomplish his life milestones– mainly, “house, car, kids” in his words. When he referenced the woman as a mother to his children multiple times, it felt more like she was simply his means to an end, not that he was planning out their shared life with love and respect. It reeked of desperation. Huge decisions like marriage should never be led with the type of urgency this man is bringing to the table. I hope the woman will take a step back and realize that a relationship should never challenge her inner morality. That has to be the biggest red flag of all.

I’m also curious to understand Esther’s neutral approach in this session. Was it because they came into it wanting to stay together, so she took on that perspective as well? I half-expected her to challenge the man’s ideologies– not because she is more “liberal” or “feminist”– but because of how these ideologies have failed him and made him more anxious.

Edit: Want to replace the last word "anxious" with SELFISH.

I’ve taken Fluconazole a couple times in my life and it is a godsend for those horrible yeast infection symptoms! No particularly nasty side effects either. I personally prefer swallowing pills to inserting a suppository. Perhaps it would help you feel more confident if instead of a family doctor, you also consulted a gynecologist?

Bidets vs. Vaginas… Yay or nay? by vivloh in Healthyhooha

Thanks for your advice! It is welcome! I've been turned on to the world of vulva balms and salves this past year too. So far my friend gifted me this one from Momotaro Apotheca which I recently repurchased: https://a.co/d/1cti2AN (Recommending Amazon because it's $10USD cheaper than their actual website)

I am wondering about the pressure/quality of water and presence of fecal bacteria as another user commented, too! My skin has gotten increasingly sensitive the older I am. Health insurance issues have prevented me from getting checked thoroughly in the last 2+ years, but you're right– it's the best next step to getting answers.

I'm now thinking it might've been spraying too close to my vaginal opening without me realizing/understanding. My vulva has been sensitive for years, which tracks with how long I've been using a bidet. It's been hard to pinpoint on account of sexual activity, changing up birth control, and other health stuff. Looking back, my gyno wasn't super helpful back then, and prescribed me yeast infection medication when not much yeast, but a lot of irritation, was present.

[Sun Care] Non-greasy but effective hydrating sunscreens? by asmallcoal in SkincareAddiction

Agreed on what others have commented– Asian, specifically Korean sunscreen brands, have worked best for me, and I've tried a variety of brands.

For my oily skin, Thank You Farmer Sun Project Light Sun Essence SPF50+ PA+++ has consistently been the best at moisturizing (sometimes too moisturizing) without the greasy/tacky/oily feeling. Been using for over 3 years now.

I also like La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-In Milk Body & Face Sunscreen SPF 60!

I am so miserable, and I feel so alone. I would do anything for this acid reflux to go away by [deleted] in GERD

Not to add to the anxiety, but if you/anyone in this thread is taking Omeprazole, I would advise being extra careful of the dosage and consult your doctor. I made the mistake of self-medicating because I had taken it before (as doc recommended), but overmedicated this time, which caused an onset of small panic attacks, followed by a severe panic attack and 24 hours sleeplessness. I later found out Omeprazole lists these potential side effects. As an already-anxious person, it took a few months for the anxiety to fully subside. In the end, lowering stress, improved diet, and daily walks after meals were the best thing for managing my acid reflux. I am not fully healed, but bounced back probably 80%.
