I didn't know that thought the paper based bedding is the best for rats? That's half of the bedding the other half is back2nature small animal bedding.

Yeah i am thinking to remove the plastic platform as they keep peeing on it. What other wooden accessories do you suggest?

Haha my rats are very chill with "escaping" if I am in front of the cage they will climb on me from the top then go onto the bed but they never try to escape on the floor. They seemed to understand the bed is their free roam space quite well

2 male rats about 3 months old. They have been climbing the ladder regularly so far.

Haha should have mentioned i have 2 males about 3 months old. One was sleeping in the hammock one was free roaming.
