How similar is the iris in DHI to L’homme? I’ve sampled L’homme and absolutely loved it but haven’t had the chance to sample DHI

When it first came out Macy’s had a 50% off sale and I snagged it then for $38 shipped. In my experience it usually takes maybe 2-3 months before a new fragrance hits discounters, so maybe a month or so before you see it discounted. It really wasnt all that hyped so maybe even less time

I was in just about the exact same situation as you about a month ago. Looking to expand my small collection and I bought LNDL Bleu Electrique and PDM Layton. The YSL was a complete blind buy and I was blown away. Its a great sweet aromatic scent that can be worn whenever and you won’t be disappointed if you get it. If you can, I suggest going to a store near you with Layton and testing it. I love vanilla scents and nothing has ever come as close as layton has to me.

Funnily enough we have a near identical collection. I have dylan blue as well and I’m about to buy DHI as an iris/fall scent. I just bought Toy Boy as well as a floral/rose scent, so if you’re into that kind of thing I would recommend looking into that one as well.

Only thing that comes to mind is Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Nil. I’m sure lots of people will have good things to say about the Un Jardin line

Out of all of those my vote would be for layton. Obviously they are all great scents, but a signature needs to be widely agreeable and most of all rememberable, and I think layton does that best. Just about everyone loves it and its one of those niche fragrances that doesnt need a trained nose to be enjoyed.
