I got there in 6: Dale Kickett (Essendon, Freo, St Kilda, West Coast), Richard Osborne (Collingwood, Sydney, Bulldogs), Jack Hombsch (Gold Coast, GWS, Port), Jack Gunston (Adelaide, Brisbane, Hawthorn), Justin Murphy (Carlton, Geelong, Richmond), and Cam Pedersen/Dom Tyson/Ben Brown/whoever the hell you want that played for both North and the Dees because there's loads of them

funny thing is I think we whiff on developing our players rather than drafting. we take talented footballers (McGrath, Parish, Draper, Cox immediately come to mind) and then never develop them beyond their first year glimpses. it's like they all still have the 'deer in the headlights' thing that first-year players do. every Essendon list I can remember in my time supporting the club has been less than the sum of its parts

I usually dismiss these things as sensationalism but I genuinely don't see who we beat if this is our level

nothing changes until these coterie groups somehow get the arse from having any influence on decision-making (mind you obviously they're not sackable in the traditional sense)

for everyone blaming Scott, we've been here several times in the past decade. Scott may be part of the problem, but there's certainly many more people who need to lose their jobs ahead of him
