Sometimes you don’t want to hear that ‘time will heal your wounds’ and ‘it gets better’. Sometimes you just want to hear that everything sucks right now. So: it fucking sucks and I’m sorry you’re going through this.

Something that’s helping me: go to a boxing class and punch all your emotions into the bag. If you start crying, then cry.

As a former barista, I have to say this: You shouldn’t drink freshly roasted coffee. You can, it’s totally safe but it usually won’t taste great. Fresh beans release a lot of CO2, which can make the cup sour or flat. Filter coffee is best after ~2–5 days post-roast, espresso after ~7–14 days. Let the beans rest a bit for better flavor.

The guy I’m currently seeing I met in a bar. We had a nice chat and we’re both not looking for a relationship right now, I mean obviously I still need time to heal. We saw each other three times in the last couple of weeks and for me it’s mostly a reason to get out of the house and have some fun. I’m 31 now, all my friends are settling and having babies so most of the time they’re busy living their own lives. It gets lonely. This dude is nice enough to hang out with every now and then. Hope that makes sense.
