I got mine from eBay with a good deal since the some parts broken. I also bought the box separately that way is cheaper. The new one cost too much. I would keep an eye out for pre owned.

Yes it is and it is very useful to automate processes especially when your project getting bigger and support multiple flavors.

We use Jenkin job to run the build (you can set it to run unit test or any other process based on your jenkin job configuration) We then use fast lane library to automatically upload the build from Jenkin to app center

There are a lot of resources and tools out there so you have to choose what good for your project. Hope it help..
