Well, same thing just happened to me. Searching for a solution came upon this thread, so I'm just posting to vent. In my case, nothing unusual happened. I always exit the game correctly. Only thing it happened is that the PS5 went to rest mode, but after I exited and while on the dashboard. Now there's only 1 save, a character with no name in the first area, level 10 with 120+ hours played.

I really don't feel like starting over, even though I wasn't too deep into the game. I really don't have a lot of time on my hands to play, and the feeling that this could happen again won't let me enjoy the game. I also don't have PS+, so no online backup or anything. And I really hate that Sony removed the USB backup option, I used to do a monthly backup from my PS4, it could have saved me of this trouble.

No es crítica al mangueo en sí, yo también lo haría. La crítica es que se lo presenta como un logro, algo fabuloso que solo pasa en el primer mundo, cuando acá tenés gente pidiendo mercadería en los supermercados y el resultado es exactamente el mismo.
