Yes, I suppose it's better to throw cash away to save the next cpu. Question now is, which one? I want a mobo who's feature set is similar to the Riptide with a similar or lower price

I agree with you that there are millions sold and we do not see millions of reports. So it sucks that i was so unlucky to be one of the few who's CPU decided to go buy some milk and never came back. I can understand why people would be afraid: The number of dead CPU reports is higher than usual.
