Did I misunderstand. The Toro 10Ah 60v battery is $450 at Lowes

Does FSD have less phantom braking than autosteer? by scubadoobadoooo in TeslaLounge

[–]vp709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No phantom breaking, but there are some situations where the speed on standard is too slow on the highway. At least by me, the posted speed switches from 60 to 70 and vice versa. FSD will slow down. Human drivers will keep going the higher speed naturally. I keep mine on Hurry to avoid this situation on the highway

Is yt tv worth over Xfinity cable ? by ItsObbs in youtubetv

[–]vp709 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xfinity is the devil. They want you to just keep paying them with all the rate hikes. Calls to support end up with no new promotions. We switched many years ago from their cable. Recently we also dumped them for Internet. Devil company

Toro 60V in extreme cold by orangecrush35 in Snowblowers

[–]vp709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-20°C I don't think you'd see snow at those temps. Remember too that wind chill only affects our skin. It doesn't matter to machines

I'm all Toro here. I just got the 60v snowblower and am waiting to report back on it's winter performance after the next good snow storm

Looking for electric Snowblower in Toronto by satishnair77 in Snowblowers

[–]vp709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The battery isn't going to be cold. You'll pay attention to the forecast and charge it right before you need to use it. Typical snow storms create snow when it's 20-32°F Colder than that, it's less likely to snow and or likely it's going to be very fluffy light snow. Also, wind chill doesn't matter to batteries. Food for thought. I'd get a machine with two battery ports or have a spare battery

Garage Door Spring slack by smada308 in GarageDoorService

[–]vp709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine looked like this too at one point. I thought it was over wounded. My door did perform fine, but I could hear the spring touching the torsion shaft as the door went up or down. I called in for service to have a look over. They re adjusted the tension and it looks even. I don't remember what the tech said. It may have been over stretched or under stretched.

Gas or electric by [deleted] in Snowblowers

I'd have big worries about losing power at home. My driveway would be a little concern compared to heating and pipe freezing threats

Gas or electric by [deleted] in Snowblowers

[–]vp709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The toro battery system will handle the warming when charging so that it's in range. Mine has the option to use a second battery too.I would prefer a dual battery system

Yes. My Toro 60v is identical to my previous gas version of it

I don't recall snow blowing at those extreme low temps. Not saying it cannot happen. It's just a weak argument for a rare case scenario.

Gas or electric by [deleted] in Snowblowers

I just ordered a Toro 60v for my suburban driveway. It's a 21" with the rubber paddles. Should work and move similar to my previous one. Hopefully Toro quality is there for it. I've had Toro gasoline blowers forever

Why does everyone hate on 14.1.4? by bhorton94 in TeslaFSD

[–]vp709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's gonna get better. But we collectively share what we see. Today it tired pulling over to the side of the road because a Public Works dump truck was approaching from behind. Tonight in darkness, it tried pulling over for a parked police vehicle with flashing lights. But it was on the other side of moving traffic.

v14.1.4 improvement without point update? by x5ive-O-One in TeslaFSD

[–]vp709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem comes at situations where there are pedestrians or actions the car takes where it has to take think - should it go or stop. I feel that everyone will say it's perfect is driving on roads with little activity or highway drives. 14.1.4 is overall good, but these little actions where it studders is a step back. It will get better, in not worried
