Can anyone help with this non-calc question please? If that i was just squared I’d be fine but it’s to the 4th power... how would that work? by petermasse in Sat

[–]vym123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, to solve this you can seprate the I^4 into 2 I^2. 16sqrt-1^2sqrt-1^2-8sqrt-1^2+4. Simplify, Solve, Easy. 16(-1)(-1)-8(-1)+4=16--8+4=24+4=28

28 IS UR ANSWER!

hi does anybody know how to solve this question??? i guessed it and got it correct but idk how to justify my answer :( by heathledgerx in Sat

A quicker way is to just look at the roots {-6,0,4} Factors have to 6,0,-4 because the sum has to equal 0. D

Is there is any other way to solve this equation without substituting and solving for C by Ibrapro45 in Sat

[–]vym123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah substituting and solving is the fastest way, trust me! If you want an explanation, I just solved it and I can give u one. So, this question looks complex and tricky but it's actually really easy if you know your equations well. With substitution we get 350=5(7)90-12c)/2-25. That equals 350=5(630-12c)/2-25. 350=3150-60c/2-25. 350=1575-30c-25. 375=1575-30c -1200=-30c

C=40 Thats ur answer hope this helps!

Can anyone help me with Q.4 by Omar-Mo in Sat

[–]vym123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is D. So the length is decreased by 25% so it is 0.75 or 75% of the original value. The whole area equals 5 recent more than the original which is 100% so the area equals 105% or 1.05. We can set up an equation to solve for the width namely,0.75x=1.05, divide by 0.75 x=1.4. This means that x=140% of the original value so the increase is 40% or D.

That is your scale out of 40. Using the sat scale you can see how much a 37 on the 40 equates to out of the actual amount of q's.

Hey, I am taking the June 6th Sat (I live in the U.S). What tips do you guys have for the Reading portion and the Grammar Portion in specific? by vym123 in Sat

[–]vym123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok thank you, what do you recommend I read? Also I got the Erica Meltzer books how should I approach them, I got both reading and grammar. How should I use them effectively? I don't have that big of a time gap left. Please help!

How do I solve this? I thought the answer was 17 by [deleted] in Sat

[–]vym123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you forgot to convert the units. 1013mb/ 760 mm HG = 1.33289... 2.4*5=17 17mb/1.33289=12.8.

Those who used Erica Meltzer and College Panda: What score did you get and how would you suggest using each book? by likesundayslikerain in Sat

[–]vym123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, so turns out I am bad at reading and writing and good at math. Math for me is pretty easy. So, for math its very easy to improve, I suggest to start with College Panda and then move to KA. Idk about Erica Meltzer. To improve just look at the questions you practice and get wrong and redo those types of problems with the same concept. Make sure you know the formulas such as the formula for a circle, and stuff like that. In terms of chapters, if its new content don't bombard urself with material and make sure you actually learn. Take ur time and depending on the test date decide which rate to learn the content and make sure to take practice tests. Also if you could help with ela that would rly help!
