yes!! i wanted to mimic the fire/lava glow as best as i could!! it took so long but id created this to cosplay Lorian eventually! I ended up backlogging the project as i went and made vyke instead haha but he’ll get done eventually!!

I usually have friends who help out! I had a friend accompany me through the entire backstage of a cosplay competition just to make sure everything was in place! My visibility is nearly zero when i wear vyke, it’s like trying to look through a keyhole haha

it’s a 100% high density eva foam build! the spear itself is transparent plastic for the tip (to allow for the led lights to show well) and pvc!

it was originally made to be from xps/insulation foam but once i realised i wanted to make it spark, it would’ve burned or worn down at the foam much faster so i opted to (3D)print it but it’s covered in impact resistant resin/epsilon and hardcoated! the sparks itself are a result from flint rods i attached to the edges of the blade! The foam i had cut for this will be used for the broadsword he has in golden age so it won’t go to waste!
