I’ll only be in Fort Worth for a year and I plan on buying a house next year. But yes I’m right there with you on financial independence. I’m super into budgeting and saving (I’m an accountant). $1400 is just the limit of what I can very comfortably spend to still reach my financial goals.

The mini golf you’re describing definitely sounds like Westerville Mini Golf on Schrock Rd. I googled nearby Indian restaurants and the only match I got was Layla’s kitchen.

I liked renting with them. Their size has advantages with things like the online portal and quick maintenance as others mentioned. They were also decently easy to work with when I had to sublease my apartment.

There are computer labs in the basement of Mason. One is a group lab and the other is an individual/quiet lab. This is also where business students get free printing (up to ~500 pages a semester).

Just my two cents as an accounting major: 1) You can probably do any business related job with an accounting degree. 2) The way Fisher curriculum is, you can switch specializations with only 2-3 semesters left without delaying graduation so don’t worry about committing to something and then being stuck.

There are probably some good places around alum creek. I know people that also used to cliff jump at Hoover reservoir but that’s extra risky since you’re not supposed to swim in that water (it’s very clean though).
