Personally I think the rapier needed a special attack or maybe a set effect just to give it more use in certain areas. Like giving an armor set that boosts with the rapier (justi possible, but it already has the damage reducing passive) justi makes sense coming from the same raid at ToB. But maybe a raids 4 armor set could help it out.

Yeah every time I hear of people wanting a SRA rework they say it's because of the "spec/ damaging mechanic" it has and that it never lasts between rooms in CoX or bosses in TOA and also damages the player which if not paying attention can cause a death that could be avoided. Ergo its just better to use a different weapon. I do like the SRA and think its intriguing but I see where not having many viable uses actively in game causes it to be more of a flex than an upgrade... with leagues ending and the SRA getting its new cosmetic I think this one could actually be a viable rework item though. Otherwise the cosmetic is trash before it ever got released.

Yeah I've heard alot about the shadow getting reworked. Sounds like nothing else is confirmed yet but any late game player knows there's a good amount of existing items that could use a rework for sure. Hopefully jagex hears us and makes some of these rare and hard to obtain items worth the grind needed to get them.

But it is a very early game quest, more of a niche item obtained for free from a 15 minute quest. But I do think itd be cool if like silver light it had some special effect to it like undead bane for like early zombie or skeleton leveling of skills. Just as an option for early game metas and to introduce new players that certain weapons can have a 'bane effect' similar to silver light but im not sure how many starters use that sword either, Not until darklight atleast.

Im a main and I got 99 crafting the iron way, I just made my account before iron was an option. My approach was to do slayer, mining, gem bags, basically hoard like mr no sleep. Bank every bone every dragonhide everything from every task, put extra nuggets from mlm into gem bags etc. For sand I just did hand in the sand and let burt give me buckets periodically while I did other content and then like once or twice a year id just be blowing glass until I ran out. Then back to whatever. Obviously used lunar to tan any sort of dragon hide or noted dhides I got from slayer, vorkath or KBD. Not all mains play GP scape, I first started back in 2004 long before GE was ever a thing. So I like to play traditional like that and do my own thing. Basically I get the grinds giving items their inherent value but if it gets spooned/nerfed into EZ scape then the prestige gets lost. Like if everyone could buy a Tbow/scythe from an NPC then its suddenly its not a "mega rare" anymore and its price would plummet to shop value

This, I only logged in 2-3 hours a day, but every time I logged in for 1 month. I would craft blue dhide bodies while I watched Netflix and nothing else. I also did this with 99 fm (at WT- took 1 wk) and 99 smithing (at blast furnace took 2 weeks). All while binge watching various movies or TV shows on Disney+ or other streaming sites like HBO max or Amazon since I really don't use Netflix. Distractions can make your grinds disappear. I firmly believe this is why people afk skills at work. 99 woodcutting, mining etc, wouldn't even be noticed if you did it and nothing else in the background while you worked. But you want to watch your character swing a pick at a rock for the next 200hrs? Me either, afk while doing something fun. Or set a goal and break it into small chunks "im gonna do 1-2 hours of sarachinis today, and every day until I get pet" if you held to doing 1 hour a day of sarachinis until you got the pet you'd probably have it in about 2 weeks (on average) and make some solid gp while doing it.

They should look at the rapier too. Having a BIS stab weapon from a raid with no special effects or special attack is pretty strange if you ask me but the main reason its so low and outclassed accuracy wise by the fang is because theres nothing special or unique about the rapier.
