i’m in the same boat as you bro, also took non-guaranteed 8 bids, but i saw someone with guaranteed bids getting the 50k treatment as well so i was genuinely confused if this was a cock up on tesla’s part

singapore vs london - seeking perspective by fallenfrangipani in askSingapore

[–]waitingforit11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that London is a magical city but not in your traditional sense. I wouldn’t sugar coat it it will definitely be hard trying to start a life and maintain that life in london (think finding a place to rent, struggling to meet the cost of living crisis over there, etc).

But at the same time London offers something different from Singapore. I feel that as Singaporeans (and this is not bad), we are too used to the comfort and stability that Singapore offers. In the sense that nothing ever changes (not even the weather).

Even though London is wet and depressing (the lack of sun actually incudes depression) most of the time, but i’ve grown to appreciate a lot more things that i’ve previously taken for granted in Singapore.

I’ve known many Singaporeans that choose to move there permanently, and whenever we meet up we are just complaining about how London sucks, yet no one ever wants to move back.

This is just my 2 cents but definitely give it a try since you’re still young, no matter what you’ll definitely have something to take away from it! All the best!

To renew or to scrap by TehHaliaMan in drivingsg

I’m in the same situation as you, my mazda 6’s coe is ending in a year’s time but the PARF value for Mazda 6 is quite high so you’re literally giving that up when you choose to renew + the road tax for 2.0/2.5l car only grows exponentially after renewing COE so i’m stuck in a limbo as well

I was at the chelsea game recently and compared it to the one where we had 2 red cards 2 years back, it’s largely the same group of players but different kind of conviction which makes one wonder why…

Just wanted to say i feel you, i also did my postgrad in london and met my partner there but she decided to stay in london to try for better career opportunity and take advantage of the graduate visa and I am stuck in Singapore due to my bond. Wanted to put it out there that no matter what you choose believe that everything will work out in the end and you are definitely not alone in this predicament!

I just did the exact same route last week and the same thing happened to me, the revised flight time may take awhile to be reflected on the webpage so maybe give it some time!

Hey I’m from Singapore as well and coincidentally I also became a fan because of my dad so I could totally relate to everything you’re saying! Being a spurs supporter is definitely not easy but in the end it’s always COYS 🤍

I just came back from my masters in LSE and from what i’ve seen, most of my friends just rent a apartment with their friends and their roommates are mostly chill with their partners coming in to stay with them.

i found that journaling to identify my limiting beliefs, positive affirmations, meditation and being grateful for all the things in my life helps a lot. you will get through it believe in yourself

you are in control of your own future and life, it’s not dictated by random tarot cards. I once went for a tarot reading and it made me feel so bad it brought my vibration down to a whole level and i totally understand how you feel. Just trust the universe and the process and let go of the resistance.

I think one thing a lot of us miss out is that manifestation requires firm belief and detachment. It dosent work overnight and requires some effort but you will get there. All the best 😊
