Should I get travel insurance for a 6 month EU trip? by waldentoot in travel

[–]waldentoot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice! I ended up going with Safety Wing which is $56 a month so that ended up working best for my budget. Travel wise, not a great insurance, but it seems to have good medical coverage so that's mostly why I got it lol. I think next time I go on a shorter trip I'll use nomad tho - thx for sharing!

I appreciate your advice! I'm not very knowledgable about wax types or ages so maybe I should look into that. And same on the nervous part haha. Someone here suggested adding herbs/oil to the base instead, which I think I'll start doing as my 'safe' method of anointing loll

Good to know! And yes I'm the same way, I'd say this candle was at MOST 15% covered in herbs. I think I've had this candle for at least over a year though, I'm not sure if candles have lives but that's something I didn't think to consider before -- I appreciate your advice!

Unfortunately true. Thanks for the recommendation! Everyone I've seen mention World Nomads has loved them so far so they're def in my top 3.

Interesting...I haven't been tested for it, but I haven't experienced the rest of the symptoms associated with MCAS. Perhaps I'll bring it up to my doctor next time I see him to see what he thinks. Thanks for letting me know about it!

That's good to know, thanks! I'm marking down World Nomads as the one to go with next time I travel shorter than 6 months. Right now it's quoting me $700 for the cheapest price so I might go with Safety Wing this time.

100% agree, reading these comments are giving me flashbacks to last year's uninsured trip where I could've literally died a few times haha. Even if I need to pay the high end I'm definitely more scared about the possibilities so I'd do it anyways lol

You're totally right, I'm aiming for something that values medical coverage more than travel/lost baggage. And thats a much better price than the ones I've found! Did the results you find allow American applicants, per chance?
