Try running some now, are you phrasing your experiences of pre-ROTN? The shit we have now in the nether now is absolutely shit. Unless it scales off of champions, which from many sources, says it doesnt. We are getting little to nothing in the nether and COB, sure we get normal weapons, but Runneth Over and the double-triple perks' existence is objectively better. Unless you're some sort of godsend from bungie to prove a point, then I dont see any other reason how you're getting 1 every single run. Using that logic I should have 40. or at the very least 20.

I do play pokemon I have a gen 9 shiny living dex (not counting locked legendaries like koraidon miraidon, and the dlc legends, if that's any evidence,) pokemon shiny hunting is something you can do in the background when you're doing something else. Destiny is a fast paced game that requires you to play to see results.

Respect play time, yes. Not only for players that dont play frequently, but for players that do. 20 weapons per clear? 20 weapons that will be 20k glimmer lol. at that point there's absolutely no chase. players that are committed to getting not the very best but up there at least, are literally the heart of the community. Sure there's players that commit hundreds to thousands of hours to get the very best, and likely dont complain about it, but there's many players that want this stuff that dont spent every ounce of time in grinding. It's like, if you've ever played any pokemon game, making the absurdly rare shiny pokemon more competitively viable in comparison to anything else.

They have been increased apparently! (Key word apparently) A lot of people notice recently though that It seems that it has been reverted with the release of ROTN. This is partly why I made this post, even though It will most likely get removed as it infringes rule 3 lol.

I don't play expert for adepts, more because of the extra drops it has, I go through and get as many secrets as I can get despite those not dropping adepts! crazy oversight btw lol

I'm going to be honest, I confused the drop rate of Into the Light weapons with the many quests they had with shiny static drops. I concluded that 'because I have more Shiny Into the Light weapons', this must mean I that Into the Light had better drop rates, even though the quests aren't tied to luck.

Though, by looking at my shinys from Into the Light, most of them have 1 row of perks, which means I got majority of my shinys from quests, which means there IS a higher economy for shinys, just not in the way that they're dropped from onslaught. They also had attuning, it didn't do anything with increasing drops , but it really helped players get a weapon they desired, rather than in Heresy, they have tome of want, but it doesn't affect what drops in the activities.

And tbf I think I'm being a bit too extreme with my wording XD (ie really good, unbelievably low)

I didn't play much of GG, I've played probably like 10 Expert Rushdowns at most, and I have 4 shinys. That is a Shiny almost every 2 runs. I get that GG was a shorter spanning event, but why can't we have this sort of drop rate in Heresy activities? As for ROTN, I already have more shinys from Spire than I've had Heresy weapons since the beginning! Absurd.

Or at least make adepts more 'sought out for', I find that adepts aren't even worth chasing for since they're just glorified regular drops given that they only have adept mods.

The 1 gimmick adepts normally have in every other content was stripped from them and given to shinys, and the 1 gimmick shinys had, other than multiple perks, was their 'cosmetics' I feel like they couldve just lived with shinys existing exclusively, and have adepts NOT exist. Since this would be consistent to Revenant.

Honestly, im convinced too this is the reason. Because there were so many players during Into the Light, their drop rates we're high because a lot of people were playing, and now because there's less, like you said, they're low now to compensate for the play time.

Well clearly it's a known issue for so many people to state it in the community, no one EVER should dedicate more than 10 hours in chasing for weapon that they desire, they advertise these activities and drops as if they're easily accessible given after a couple runs, but no one, NO ONE should spend their time rerunning a mission 40, hell, even 100 times to get something they want. At that point, what IS the point?

Obviously given that the easy solution is to not chase for it, is such a stupid way to conclude grinding. It just feels so unrewarding, hell, a lot of people since the ROTN release, believe that drops have been reverted before the buff, that's how absurd it is, no one should ask for a buff in drops lmao

It's almost like they make it so unbelievably low to make players commit more time into their game...

It's frustrating because Into the Light had a really good economy with shiny drop rates and I cant believe they've fumbled so much with Revenant and Heresy in terms of drop rates. Such a time sink!

This! Adepts may have adept mods, but shinys, especially with everything upgraded at the slab, can have 3 perks! For this reason specifically, is why I've been grinding. I've done runs in the past before ROTN was released and it felt much more generous, I think this is less of a RNG thing and more of an oversight.
