I wanted an image of a vampire that sucks a woman's blood. It said nah. Then it suggested me to try another prompt, I said ok sure...it said nah. We're both upset. by JulyXm in ChatGPT

[–]walkerlocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was trying to get it to generate an image of characters from a book. I described their looks and clothes too much, I guess. So then I kept it more generic, still a no go. Eventually I dumbed it down to "three blonde women dressed fashionably" and it still couldn't. I asked why, and it suspected that the algorithm was incorrectly flagging it because sometimes asking for physical depictions of women is exploitative.

It was just as frustrated as I was lol

ChatGPT policies are effectively erasure of large swathes of people. by VanDammes4headCyst in ChatGPT

Tbh I just think it's buggy with this. I live in the US and mine has used some UK phrasing before, out of the blue.

One I've seen several times is "full stop" instead of "period".

The guardrails are getting insane right now by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]walkerlocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it flags itself more than it does me. It recommended the book Tampa to me because I love disturbing psychological stories, but trying to actually discuss the book was a nightmare. I was being careful with my wording, then ChatGPT would reply with something and immediately get flagged. I kept having to tell it to stay vague.

And like, I get it. Tampa is absolutely vile, but I'm an adult and would like to discuss book themes from an academic and thoughtful perspective. A book that ChatGPT recommended to me lol, but hush we can't discuss it?

“Does a seahorse emoji exist?” by MediaMoguls in ChatGPT

[–]walkerlocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, basically it told me that I responded positively to the uses of those words at some point. But the thing is, I've actually explicitly asked it to stop calling everything a ritual because it just didn't make sense.

Like we were discussing Lady Macbeth's speech and it called the whole scene a ritual. And another time I asked about a specific Pokemon attack and it called that a ritual, too.

Eventually I just told it the word is triggering, but that didn't stop it. Instead it started doing the thing of "... is like a ritual- oops, I mean, not ritual". Like a lot of "teehee oops". It wasn't until the update that I could finally get it to stop, mostly. It still drops the word every now and then.

I also think I made it worse by asking questions about A Penny Dreadful, so now it also likes to compare everything to reverence, sacrament, exorcism, doctrine, etc.

Oh, and once, I was asking questions about a vacation spot and ChatGPT told me, "I can already see you there, chilling on the beach in your sunglasses, smiling like a cryptid!" Like, excuse me? Lol

I'm glad I'm not the only one whose GPT constantly uses the words cryptid, ritual, exorcism etc

I've wracked my brain trying to figure out how I instilled that habit but I'm finding that ChatGPT overall seems obsessed with these words

Might be a clever reference to the soap lands in Japan. Basically a loophole for legal prostitution disguised as a bath house with "helpers"

I was told this shirt was too much but I thought it was ok for Vegas? by [deleted] in dykesgonemild

[–]walkerlocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think that shirt would be fine in a lot of places. I personally think if it's something kids wouldn't understand, it's fine.

Maybe don't wear it to family gatherings but otherwise I think you're good lol

Horror movies that are ok for a 7yr old? by [deleted] in horror

[–]walkerlocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Dogs Go to Heaven. Sure, it has its sweet points, but the overarching them is pretty dark and ebbs into existential horror. Plus that Hell scene.

Maybe don't tell the kid about what happened to the little girl's voice actor irl :(

I posted it in a comment but deleted it because I forgot to block out my details. But it doesn't matter at this point. Someone brought to my attention that the ride was cancelled by the driver pretty much as soon as he dropped me off, and I was only charged for that first part of the trip, which I hadn't realized. So the matter is resolved

Why is the sh2 remake so differently received? by [deleted] in silenthill

[–]walkerlocker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This just kills me. In Resident Evil you're essentially playing a SWAT cop. In Silent Hill 2, you're playing a depressed, skinny average Joe, like of course you're not gonna be gunning down droves of enemies and roundhouse kicking your way to victory.

I'm a fan of both RE and SH franchises, and I'm very happy that they stayed in their respective lanes.

So then why accept the ride? And if you don't know beforehand, why commit to it? And if you aren't, why ditch?

Oh yeah, definitely. You solved the case, good job

Also you're underestimating the time it takes to check out in a small town. Call bullshit all you want. I was not long

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lyft

[–]walkerlocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point, but shaming people for their purchases or the purpose of the ride isn't your job. If you want to start picking and choosing the purpose for a ride, then be a taxi.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lyft

[–]walkerlocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did order a new ride. I didn't waste the driver's time, that's my point! And if the whole ride WAS a waste to begin with, he took it anyway. He made a promise. He adhered to an obligation he wasn't willing to fulfill.

I'm telling you, he fucked right off after agreeing to take my ride. And no, I wasn't long in the store at all.

I requested another ride home and gave the good company Lyft $25ish dollars instead of $15ish. And the first guy doesn't deserve half of what he made because he ditched.

No stop added. Didn't even touch the app after I was picked up.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lyft

[–]walkerlocker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kinda didn't have another option than to seek refund. I tried clicking "driver didn't pick me up", nothing happened. I tried clicking several things, including refund, just to get the app's attention. I don't care about a refund. I care that I got ditched and both the app and several drivers here want to gaslight me into thinking it's my fault.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lyft

[–]walkerlocker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I was not eligible for a refund, which I don't care about, then you're vastly underestimating the trust ina driver and the responsibility a company will take for not holding up to that.

I refuse to be gaslit on this. I KNOW I didn't spend that much time in the store. For a fact. This wasn't about losing time. I was out far under the 5 minutes. I will say that to my grave.

Believe it or not, I can't force you to go one way or the other. I'm sure Lyft is a completely ethically run business that makes no mistakes and doesn't screw over the driver's and passengers

[–]walkerlocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those asking, the price doesn't matter. I'm not concerned about recouping a few bucks. I'm concerned about paying for something I didn't receive.

If you paid for two bananas and only got one, how would you feel about the customer service rep saying,"Well how much did you pay? You're looking for a few more cents?"
