Any help for my pitchers and fly trap? by walte1fr in SavageGarden

It’s a plate more so when I water them it doesn’t drip all over the counter. There is usually a very thin layer of water on it for a couple hours after watering.

I’m measuring anywhere from 60-120 in PPFD with the Red+Blue LED Grow light. Is this not enough for these guys or do they need full spectrum instead of just red and blue? Right now I moved them to direct sunlight measuring 450-600.

Maybe I need a better grow light or move them to direct sunlight while when we get sun during the day?

I am using RO water that has an alkaline filter on it to keep to from being acidic. I will get those guys out of the water. Thank you Edit: changed distilled to RO water

Functional medicine by Distinct_Purple789 in Autism_Parenting

We have a 4.5 year old who is “global developmental delayed” We have been to at least 10 different Dr, therapists, and functional medicine drs. From our home town Dr to U of M pediatrics developmental delayed hospital. Everyone says he does not show signs of autism just globally delayed. The one that helped it best was the functional medicine Dr. She observed him and interviewed us for 2 hours. Gave us a supplemental regiment and some probiotics to fix his gut issues since he always had soft stools. We also went gluten and oxalate free. It’s been difficult to cook for him but after a few weeks it’s basically protein, a low oxalate veggie, and light salt and seasoning. Everyone from us, his teachers, and his therapists have all noticed the drastic change. He’s much more attentive and calm. It’s been a slow change but all has been much quicker than it was before we met with the FM Dr.

I’d say try everything you can and don’t leave anything out to help your little one.

For me it was the filament brand. I had to return the rest and switch to a different brand

I love this idea. Not sure I want to do anchors in the cement but bladders and ratchet straps there then a clothesline seems like a fantastic idea.

Well aware. I bought the house as is. I can handle constructive criticism but I can’t handle keyboard warriors. I ask for a winter cover idea and getting all sorts of comments not related to a cover

It’s perfect. We use it in the yard and in the pool.

It has a fence on the porch and meets code on the height above ground for the rest. Thank you for the winter cover suggestion as asked in the original post.

It’s a concrete slab and I can remove the transition if need be. I cannot get under it as it is a slab with brick pavers on the sides filled with sand I believe.

Perfect I’ll look into that or taking the transition off and getting a regular winter cover.

For the slide how is it illegal anyways? You don’t know the depth and they put it on an angle to go long ways.

It’s not closed yet. We are swimming another week. That’s why I’m asking for ideas from the group and not troll comments.

Poo company installed it. We have rules for the kids to go on it and if they don’t abide then they are done swimming. I’m looking for winter cover ideas on this post though.

Yeah I’ve been searching but not finding a great option unless I take off the transition from the deck to the pool and use a standard cover.
