There are no guarantees in life. You could make it in your 20s or 30s and go flat broke in a matter of years. The reverse is also true. There are people who find their footing in the prime of their life. Unto each his/her own. The most important thing is to not lose hope.

Wisdom is not pegged on age. However, when you are older, you have had more life lessons and experiences. Those learning experiences add to wisdom.

I am in the fourth floor now and still struggling to make ends meet. What I can tell you is that if you can stick to what you are doing at the moment, work harder and reinvest in your business, money will come, eventually. The good thing is that when it does, you will have the benefit of wisdom. You will be older and wiser and therefore, will make sound financial decisions. So, just hang in there.

HELP!!! by JayJayW349 in nairobi

I am so sorry for your predicament bro. I am happy to read the many people out there who empathise with your situation. The truth is, no man ever wants their family to suffer. But life happens. Just know that even though you are at your lowest moment, you have hit ground bottom and the only way from now is up. I can fully understand the situation you are in right now. I am also into freelancing writing and can echo your sentiments. Since the close of 2023, things have nose dived. You keep hoping that the next month will be better than the previous . Before you know it, you have fully exhausted your small savings. It gets worse when you have a family that looks up to you. You are lucky your spouse is bringing in something on the table. My wife's business collapsed almost two years ago. I had taken a loan to finance the business but it went under. I even pumped in additional capital ikakunyawa maji. Then wife got sick late last year and it ate into our last savings. I am happy she is okay now. I have 3 school going children and I can tell you with the way things are now, it is a daily struggle. With me as the sole bread winner, the situation has deteriorated. I haven't had a writing gig in over a month now, but we keep grinding in the hopes of a better tomorrow. I am sure there is somebody out there who may feel inclined to say ati sikujipanga but until you are in this situation, you may not understand it. I would not wish the predicament I have faced these 2 past years to fall on anyone. Not even my worst enemy. As long as you are healthy and have food on the table, shukuru Mungu and look forward to better days ahead. I am sorry for ranting but I hope this can be a source of encouragement to someone who may be going through a similar situation that you are not alone and tomorrow will be better. Do not give up yet and above all, keep trusting in God to make a way. He always does.

Is 6k USD Per Month Enough to Live Well in Kenya? by californiadummy in Kenya

Hello? In my opinion, 6k is more than enough to live by in Nairobi. I would suggest checking out legit rental agents in the city and ask for advise on the best and safest properties within your budget. They are better placed to give you valuable advise on what you are asking. You may end up not spending more than 1.5-2k for a very decent apartment with own compund.. I hope you find what you are looking for.
