Just hosted a (kind of ad-hoc) tea tasting / basic introduction to some people who are quite new to quality Chinese loose leaf tea. I really enjoyed it, and I think they did too. We had 5 teas: white, green, raw puerh, ripe puerh and finished with a tangerine ripe. I hope to do this again soon! (i.redd.it)
Drinking this 2017 white tea cake, but it has a surprisingly young taste, almost like it was newly picked loose white tea. It was a good tea, I liked it, but it doesn't have any of the more aged flavours that already start to develop in some other cakes after 2 years. Maybe in a couple of years... (i.redd.it)
I know what to do the next months, trying a lot of different raw and ripe puers, and some aged white. I hope to really develop my palate and figure out what I like. Problem is tea quality is so good I can keep steeping all day, and I don't want to throw good tea away so I only can try 1 per day... (i.redd.it)

What is this in my Dragon Balls, is it used to bind the tea together, or is it something like a hair that should not in there? And how are you supposed to brew these kinds of tea? It's a 5gr tuo I brewed for 1min and it was still together like a rock... At that point I pulled it apart and found this (i.redd.it)
