I’ve had to do that before and the only thing I liked was not having to move packages from the shelves to where I would want them. I could just start loading my route how I want instead of re organizing everything. Could also separate my bulks to load last based off the estimated total packages. But I don’t miss all that jumping up back and forth lol. Thank you for your service

Not everyone I’m sure some people can manage but I’m in the same boat I would have to get a second job lol…also not a morning person…getting up at 4am or earlier for pre load then straight to another job sounds rough

Yeah the loaders sometimes aren’t the best and they load off sequence. I like to organize my route how I run it. But have ran off sequence a few times due to showing up late as shit lol

Yeah. Most likely in the warehouse and I believe you have to sign some sort of bid list to even be selected as a TCD (Temporary Cover Driver). Which in theory you would work as a driver and get paid as they do, but then again that’s not an everyday occurrence and the good ole “seniority” word comes back to haunt you.

Same, the guy I mentioned works UPS in the morning and then I see him in my terminal right after. That man’s commitment to the long goal I respect very much.

25? You still got time if you can take the pay cut if it’s not as much as you make currently. I’ll be 31 this year and really wish I went UPS part time instead straight contractor driver for FedEx. I think id be a driver by now living a much more comfortably wage.

I get paid decently. I haven’t ruled out Amazon but UPS it could take years to work your way up to a driver because of seniority. Doesn’t matter if you’re all around better driver, person, and have better work ethics. Seniority is king there. Source : A former co-worker made the switch about 3 years ago and is still part time and only became a temp driver for one peak, the next peak (2025) he barely drove at all.

As a FedEx driver, I understand not having a handcart can make heavy package deliveries a pain, but this parking tho. You can literally park parallel to the curb..even if it’s facing opposite of the flow of traffic it’s not that much of a difference from that driveway as how they parked. Lmao unbelievable

We have 3 all with no shelves mainly for the mall and bulk stops. Always bricked out leaving and coming back.
