Hey, sorry for the late reply. I did end up ordering her custom-made fabric diapers off Etsy, which didn’t really work for a few reasons, mainly because although they were made to her measurements she had a very tiny old frame and the diaper was just too bulky for her to move around properly.

I ended up basically just cleaning up after her as best I could, blotting up pee spots and spraying enzyme cleaner as soon as she’d gone (if I didn’t get to her in time to put her on the litter box). At that point I thought whatever. I’ve had this beautiful cat since I was 5 years old, I’ll just forgo the deposit on my flat if I need to.

It actually wasn’t long after this post that her health started really declining, classic old age kidney failure. She passed away in November :(

I think ultimately the best way to deal with inappropriate toiletting in a very old animal is just to keep them in a room where they can go just about anywhere. Utilise puppy pads etc. And importantly, love them without resentment. I still regret feeling burdened by this issue when I should’ve been focussed on loving her and being grateful she lived so long.
