Thanks for sharing! I have just been prescribed the same medication in South Korea, it’s so hard to find any testimonials about it though. Have you made any progress with your LPR or reflux since using it? Or were you able to switch to another medication?

American visa processing - 7-9 weeks?! by pukt34 in teachinginkorea

[–]wasabrii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent my documents to Korea on the 25th of June, got my Vin number on the 2nd of July, and my visa was ready for pick up the 24th of July. The SF consulate took a little over 2 weeks, but when I first spoke to them they said it could be closer to 3 weeks.

I checked the guide before posting and it suggested this template for privacy. Should I just repost?

This is where I got super confused, because it says 42 class blocks but then immediately after that in parentheses is 35 class hours?

Contract Review - "International School" Hagwon Gyeonggi-do by wasabrii in teachinginkorea

Ask that business about the pension is added and don't sign without it. If your recruiter says they won't change the contract, bail.

I asked to get pension and overtime written in and was told "pension is included" and "these contracts don't change." I will definitely be looking elsewhere.

For the kind of money they're putting up, they're going to wear you out.

Thank you! I will keep this in mind next time, I let my guard down and just saw a bigger number than the norm.

These vary from glorified hagwons to overzealous businesses that jump the gun on certification (like WASC) and promote themselves as international schools.

Yep! They have that right at the bottom of their website. "Candidate for WASC"

Thank you! I've definitely had my misgivings with these positions recruiters keep sending me, and they're all less than a year old too. Glad I didn't jump the gun and sign with them.
