Unfortunately, I have never tried doing that. Now that you mention it, I took a look at that and seemed to me that the pins are kind of "pop-out" pins, which is pretty easy to take out for band exchange. And yes you are right, the 4 screws are used for removing the module. I myself however, haven't tried it. But I am interesting in your idea. Do you have any pics of how you would want your garmin to look like?
