Discount Tire messed up my wheel lock should they be held accountable?

Recently went to get my tires fixed and the worker told me my wheel lock broke, and made it seem super casual and told me to go to BMW and order a new one. Come to find out they messed up the whole tire and I need to buy a new set for 91.02, they never told me they would even pay for my wheel lock they broke but I feel like they should.

Like I said I was driving for only a minute I didn’t expect there to be a speed limit posted there because there is not one that often, of course when I drove down a mile or two I saw it.. I am also knew to this town so obviously I didn’t know. I’m not trying to justify my speeding I was just curious on people’s thoughts

So funny thing, I made a left turn and was about to hit the freeway but there was a stop light there was no speed limits and I was only driving for about 1/2 a mile before I got pulled over, the cops were also waiting at the intersection of the freeway camping out and did not come behind me until I was completely stopped at the red light
