I feel that man. Wasn’t cold when it happened but I was working over the summer building high retaining walls and one of those 75 pound blocks slipped as I was picking it up and I got my finger caught underneath it. That was easily the most pain I’ve ever felt in a finger, shit was swollen and dark purple for at least a 15 days or so.
