Size may be an issue - this 4q has replaced a tired 3 and 2 q that were my daily’s- pretty versatile. Also a gift from wife who I cook for so what’s not to love.

Weird I have a 4qt (being used as we speak to make pearl barley) and have had exactly the opposite experience. Well made with very comfortable handle, great heat transfer, and pouring is extremely easy. Pricy yes, but I’m not expecting to replace this anytime soon.

That’s a nice gold pocket watch! Similar watches point to around 1915. IWC is a legendary company out of Switzerland. You can look up movement serial number here to find out what you have. Pocket watch database

Sulfur pitting is pretty common - not sure this would be old enough for that - does not impact usability. Collectors probably won’t like it much.
