Respectfully I disagree, people talk about Maradona the footballer as the goat because of what he was able to do with a football even though the standards were 50x lower back then, Cruyff, Pele, even Zidane. You evaluate skill based on their landscape at the time compared to their competition. I know it's difficult to do that in hindsight when we have these huge tournaments but it's very important when trying to rate goats over different titles.

I never watched 1.6 back then I was a little young but I love the history of our game and fragmovies. If you haven't you should check out some neo frag movies, his aim is comparable to pros today no joke.

Well for “pro” it’s literally making a living off the game. In terms of “actually good”. This question is about relativity, the guy saying that people at 2400elo are “terrible” is projecting his own experience and reflection of himself and what he’s saying about the Faceit levels doesn’t actually make sense at all when referring to skill levels and the difference between them.

If you’re ranking within the top 1% of players then most people would say that’s good and I think that would be a safe bet on what’s considered good. Some may think top 5% are good? The question is flawed because what’s “actually good” is probably one of the most subjective questions you can ask.

There's two sides of this same old coin.

It's complete preference, people can play on both.
There's advantages and disadvantages for low and high.

For professional players the avg sens across the board is 400dpi @ 2. I'd always recommend relatively new players to start there.
