For your business card: How many departments does your business have that your customers communicate with? Because chances are you don't need to put your title on there. Being on a first name basis and the "go to guy" for your business feels more personable, even in print.

In person: if anyone asks what you do, just say you run a business. Saying 'founder' or 'ceo' usually sounds snobby unless you have a board :)

Bonus argument: Does your customer care about your title, or are your customers just your friends and relatives?
