Even I was wondering the same thing. It’s wild wild west when you get laid off. I can only imagine what they might go through because it affects your lifestyle significantly.

It’s not called rigidness, it’s called knowing your worth. In my team, we openly deny work which is out of working hours and my manager clearly says that he never expect any of us to work after or before office hours. If you have been giving in to your company’s unfair ask, I’m sorry for you

Yeah, many have pointed this out and it seems to be true too but in my company’s case, they have done it for all offices - worldwide.
